musings on the infinity of the universe

There seems to be this big debate about whether the universe is infinite or has some sort of boundaries. I don't like to think that the universe is finite. It feels so limiting! I have a theory that the universe is like an atom in another sort of world, a larger system of some kind. And conversely, maybe atoms and electrons are like universes and we'd find them astoundingly complex if only we had the equipment to observe them with more detail.
